In the pretty pictures and children’s books, we see beautiful angels that look like tall, blonde, Aryan superhumans, but have you actually READ the Bible? “Four heads, an eagle, a lion, a bull and a man”, “eyes all over their bodies”, “six sets of wings and no bodies” and “shaped like flaming wheels” are just a FEW descrptions of angels. Not to mention, the part where nearly every single time an angel appears, people usually end up either fainting in terror or worshipping them because they think they’re a god. I never understood that part, back when I was a child. You wouldn’t do that if you saw a beautiful human, right? That’s what I was told angels looked like. Thinking about it, though, you might do that if you saw a four-headed monstrosity with twenty wings and three hundred eyes (again, that was a biblical description of one). If they started putting what angels are supposed to have really looked like in those “children’s Bibles”, it would be nightmares all round. (And, you know what?
